Laptop or Desktop?

as some of u may have known - my desktop blew up. literally went up in smoke.
my dilemma now is...laptop or desktop? budget no more than 3k.

anything worth recommending? else i purchase straight off the dell website.

Well, i prefer desktop. Desktop can run faster than laptop but laptop can be taken to anywhere. If the computer is used for gaming, then desktop is better ba.

looking at laptops now - figured that mobility > gaming

there's one acer which doesn't look too bad, but i noe acer overheats fast.
hp/compaq....don't really like how the lappies look like
dell....the desktops are a better bargain than their lappies, somemore can up-size monitors!!

I prefer laptop since i move around alot. I go anywhere for travelling laptop is for sure sticking with me.

Dont buy dell's lappy. The speed is very slow, lols

at this moment...the acer lappy is winning on my list - but the bf says nooooo, dun buy acer.
when i have the time, i'll go to karamunsing, go see satu satu pc shop and test satu satu lappy.
den make my decision based on that ba.

den next year i'll get the asus G70

Erm, rae.. i recommend u to go karamunsing or centre point and one borneo. Go find vaio comp. So far its my favourite tho its expensive.

bought an acer aspire - stood there for more than an hour playing eeny meeny miney mo and asking the guy all sorts of questions (related to the lappy) - and still couldn't decide between 12" and 14" screen. got the 14 one finally.

haven't finished installing stuff on it yet - not sure if i wanna install maple or cabal on it =.=

still personalizing desktop, screenies and keyboard shortcuts. absolutely LOVE the keyboard shortcuts!
